Sanford International
The Event
Sanford International tournament was created in 2018 to bring the PGA Tour Champions to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This event attracts over 75,000 attendees throughout the course of the tournament.
The week long event, starting off with a bang at the Celebration of Champions concert on Tuesday and the Pro-Am tournament on Wednesday and Thursday. The main event tees off on Friday and concludes on Sunday with the winner holding up the custom designed trophy.
The Celebration of Champions
The event consists of live music, food, and festivities at the Sanford House in Sioux Falls. Working closely with the events team for Cambria and Sanford International, we created the experiential marketing assets around the event.
We develop the layout, concert stage graphics, gobo lights, and developing the activation space within the house.
On the Course
Club Cambria is wedged between the 18th green and the par 3 hole 10. This exclusive area is the highest-selling ticket on the course. Great views surrounded by Cambria products and free beverages make this the top ticketed hospitality location on the course.
We provide the layout and activation within Club Cambria and the interior clubhouse Club space.
The Trophies
The Champions trophy design emulates the water flowing through the rocky landscape of Sioux Falls. The top globe mirrors the globe sitting in the front lawn of Sanford Health’s corporate offices. In addition, the Pro-Am trophies are two trophies, miniature versions of the Champions trophy, echoing the face, etching, and metal coming out of the Cambria material.
I concepted, presented, and designed both the Champions and the Pro-Am trophies.
It all starts with a sketch.
Sketch, render, present, produce, and then award to the champion. Designing the trophy was one of the most unique projects I have worked on and have since designed several more.
